Founded in 1991 as an engineering and design consultancy, MI-TAP rapidly evolved into a powerhouse of in-house woodworking and upholstery. By 1997, we launched our own state-of-the-art manufacturing operations, quickly earning a reputation for unrivaled craftsmanship and quality.

From Engineering Beginnings to a Trusted European Manufacturer
MI–TAP Ltd. was established in 1991, initially as an engineering company, and in 1995 transitioned to manufacturing, with its own production starting in 1997 with dedicated programs for marine upholstery. Since then, we have expanded our offer to include complete outfitting on ships as well as high-quality interior furnishings for demanding customers — kitchens, interior doors, living and sleeping suites, bathrooms, dining rooms, and wardrobes. With a focus on purpose-built products that go beyond standard doors, windows, and panel furniture, we have built a reliable reputation at home and abroad, supplying Slovenia, neighboring Croatia, and Western Europe, including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.
Two Specialized Departments, One Standard: Excellence
Our upholstery and carpentry departments work together to provide custom solutions—whether for vessels, shops, or unique projects
The carpentry department employs 11 highly skilled craftsmen who operate high-performance universal machines, while our upholstery department specializes in maritime comfort and durability. We support a wide range of individual customers with various material and performance requirements.
Since 2012, our shop equipment line has been continuously growing. Our own brand, Mistral-Marine Furniture, includes tables, chairs, sofas, beds, and mattresses—made from premium materials and supported by relevant industry certifications.
We collaborate with leading Croatian shipyards: Brodogradilište Uljanik (Pula), Brodogradilište 3. Maj (Rijeka), and Hrvatska Brodogradnja (Trogir).
